Jet F-16 Indonesia burns



Jakarta: An F-16 fighter jet owned by Indonesian soldiers burned when you want to travel in a military air base here, yesterday.
Indonesia's air force chief of staff, said Agus Supriatna, pilot suffered minor injuries after he jumped out of the cockpit.
"When the plane was about to depart suddenly his engine caught fire and the pilot decided to abort the flight.
"The pilot was rushed to hospital in a conscious state," he said.
Army spokesman Fuad Herdani tell the pilot suffered minor injuries after jumping from the plane, which was engulfed in flames.
He said, the military is now investigating the incident that occurred at Halim Air Force Base in eastern Jakarta.
The incident occurred when the jet fighter was being moved to departure along with three other aircraft.
All jet fighters respect the security preparations before a summit of Asian and African leaders in Indonesia next week.
